I have been absent from the blog for a bit in the insane flurry of activity that went on the week prior to opening. We opened the doors for the first time on Sept 18th- it was an amazing day. Epic if I do say so myself. We not only had a relatively steady flow of customers, we met an amazing bride on our first day!

We had some great people helping us these last two weeks. I need to give a big shout out to Trina, for a very long day of window dressing that was so above and beyond. We can’t thank you enough for making our windows so beautiful. You’ll have to come by the store to really apprecaite it, this is a not-to-fab picture but it will give you an idea of the work that went into them (how to take a picture of windows without glare??):

Also- thank you Ashley of Ashley Elizabeth, Art of Entertaining, for the hours spent putting price tags on things, for giving us a fresh eye when we were all blurry, for always being so supportive and of course for the beautiful flowers. Everyone should click on the link to Ashley’s website here– she does amazing floral work for weddings!

Thanks Erika of Delphine– we appreciate all the design talent and all of your support, advice and industry knowledge- you rock!

Thanks mom- could not have spent so many hours working if I did not know the 4 monkeys were being well cared for. Thanks also for the last minute display pieces- they made all the difference in the world!

Thanks hubby- you’re the best.

Thanks sistar- there are no words.

Thanks readers- for making it this far through my Emmy-like speech 🙂
