We are home from holiday and have spent the last 48 hours diving back into the swing of things. It feels good to get back to sweet paper and this blog, which has been grossly neglected yet again. I was spurred into a new post when I found myself paralyzed by a candle order form. Not sure if it is exhaustion or just one decision too many today, but I can’t seem to decide how many candles we should order. What if it is too many? not enough? Should I get many of the same scent or just a few of many scents? It really is not that difficult, but I find myself unable to commit to anything at the moment. So I think I just need a break, and why not fill you in on the happenings during said break?
The best part of our return-shipments of paper!! We have received the paper lovelies from bonanza around here. Loving it!
As far as the shop itself goes, the paint is finished and the floors are starting to go in tomorrow. It’s looking pretty good if I do say so…. We did unexpectedly have to replace the sink in the bathroom, as the current one seems to be hanging by some caulking. Not altogether a bad thing- the new vanity is light years better than ye old wall mounted mini-sink that was in there.
In other big news- we have purchased most of our major furniture items for the store. We found a really cool old workbench and some beautiful tables at Vignette Antiques. (Thanks to all the lovely ladies who helped us there- we love the store and will be back often!) We’ve paired these vintage pieces with some ikea specials that sistar is going to spiff up with some paint. Hopefully the floors will be done next week and I’ll be able to post some pics of the shop with furniture in it.
There is still a lot to be done but we are on a steady forward track. Now if only I could figure out this candle thing….
