Emily McDowell recently launched her empathy card collection and the cards became an overnight sensation, landing her a segment on Good Morning America and lighting up social media. When a loved one is sick we often don’t have the right words, the empathy cards help with that by keeping things real. As a cancer survivor herself, Emily knows firsthand what you do and don’t want to hear when you are ill.
From the Designer:
Being sick can be really lonely. One major reason is because most people don’t know what to say, so they disappear, or say the wrong thing entirely. My goal for this collection is to help people connect with each other through truth, and to help people with illness feel seen and understood. I think these are the most important things I’ve designed so far, and they’re some of my favorites.
The collection is available in the shop and online.
